Welcome to Armenia - City Tour and Museum Tour
Begin your day with exploration of Armenia's capital, the city of Yerevan. One of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities, Yerevan was founded in 782 BC. Visit important landmarks of the city, including Republic Square with its striking pink tufa stone buildings and the iconic Cascade architectural complex, a massive travertine stairway housing an open-air contemporary art center.
Lunch at a local restaurant in Yerevan with a culinary master class and wine tasting. After lunch, continue to the Lusik Aguletsi House-Museum for a guided tour and coffee break at its atmospheric Art Cafe. The museum is dedicated to Armenian artist, ethnographer, and cultural figure Lusik Aguletsi and preserves her personal living space, artworks, costumes, and ethnographic items.

Ararat Valley - Monastery, Cathedral, and and Art Center
In the morning, visit Khor Virap Monastery. Situated at the foothills of the Biblical Mount Ararat, the monastery sits on the hills of one of the ancient capitals of Armenia. The patron saint of the Armenian nation, Saint Gregory the Illuminator, was imprisoned here for 13 years before Christianity was proclaimed the country's official religion in 301 AD.
Next, travel to the Cathedral of Etchmiadzin, often referred to as the Vatican of Armenia. Built in 301-303 AD, it is considered the world's oldest Christian cathedral. Visit to the Treasury Museum of the Mother Cathedral.
Visit the Machanents Cultural Center, operated by the Cross of Armenian Unity NGO, for a short tour and lunch. The center supports educational and cultural programming including art therapy, drawing, pottery, acting, music, dance, and other classes.
